Karen qualified with a first degree in Speech and Language Therapy, BSc (Hons), eleven years ago. Karen is a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP). Karen works within the multidisciplinary team at Nature and Nurture Psychology, contributing to the assessment and diagnosis of Autistic children.
Specialities & Interests
Karen’s specialist interests include speech sound disorders and autism. Karen has the utmost respect for Autistic people and believes that neurodiversity is the result of normal, natural variation in the human genome. Karen’s therapeutic approach with Autistic children focuses on building language and communication from the child’s natural interests and what motivates them intrinsically.
