Charlotte Clough

Art Therapist

Charlotte qualified from the University of Reading with a degree in Fine Art and Art History. She continued to develop her career by qualifying as an art and design teacher with a PGCE in secondary education and also as a therapist with an MA in Art therapy. Charlotte is currently undertaking research about autism and art therapy by completing a Professional Doctorate in Health and Social Care at the University of Chester.

Experience

She has experience working with children, young people and adults in the areas of learning disabilities, autism, anxiety and trauma. Her clinical judgement is based on a range of theoretical stances such as psychodynamic and person-centred approaches. Her main area of interest is autism and learning disabilities.

About Charlotte's Sessions

In her sessions, Charlotte uses different creative techniques and art making to help understand and give insight into emotional, social, relational and behavioural difficulties clients might be dealing with. Some of these include creative art making, painting, use of stories, games, and sensory art materials such as clay and image metaphor.
